The Calistoga Depot Distillery invites you to a master class showcasing the world of spirits, and how the use of oak barrels has changed from a simple mode of transportation to a delicate art. Special Guest Jean-Charles Boisset will discuss the importance of a high quality French oak barrel, and how these barrels once housed our fine wines, and all that they impart on the new spirits housed in them. Followed by a glimpse into the world of barrel-aging cocktails, our Spirits Director Anthony will show the true effects of allowing a cocktail to rest in a barrel and the variance that develops over time. Guests will taste our spirits on their own and in classic cocktails.
